'That Which Is Not Said' is look at you's first publication. It is a collection of poetry by comedians. Many stand ups it seems have an inner poet of sorts that they are unable to express through stand up, so the idea behind this book was to give comics a blank remit - submit whatever they please - and this is the most interesting aspect, to see what comics will come up with given complete freedom. So the content is varied, from poignant verse to puerile ditties, and what we're left with is a hilarious but tender tome; the perfect joke book.
It features poems from over 30 comics including Russell Brand, Stewart Lee, Harry Hill, Robert Newman, Adam Buxton, Simon Munnery, Mark Watson, Arthur Smith, & Tim Vine. (full list of contributors here). With sleeve by David Shrigley. And illustrations by Lydia Thompson.
